The Great Barrier Reef is the largest continuous reef on our planet. This microcosm, which has become an UNESCO World Heritage in 1981, consists of a multitude of coral species and marine life. Due to global warming, large areas of the reef have already died off and this great ecosystem is in danger. Centerpiece of my storytelling ring is a Tourmaline Quartz, which reminds of a coral reef when viewed from above. A ring with depth. Diamonds in a multi-colour mix symbolize shoals of fish and biodiversity. Great Barrier is set in 18k Rose Gold.
Turquoise and all treasures of the sea, such as Coral, Mother of Pearl, all kind of Pearls, Amber, Conch and Corniola, have to be protected from cosmetic, hairspray, soap, perfume, acid and extreme sun exposures. It can be cleaned under running lukewarm water with a very soft towel (please don't use microfiber). To avoid scratches please store jewels always separated from each other in the attached pouch.
